The peaceful state of Himachal Pradesh is located in the north of India and sits in the lap of the Himalayan Mountains. According to Hinduism it is also known as The Valley of Gods and Goddesses and each village has their own deity, which is housed in the local temple and is a central part of festivals and religious celebrations in its native village.  These gods can also be seen being carried to nearby villages to attend their festivals and ceremonies…  Your Enfield expedition starts from the town of Manali located in the Kullu Valley. This lush green valley is a biker's paradise; narrow, curvy and charming roads meander through remote villages to the rocky and sandy terrains of the semi-desert of the Kinnaur district and the arid Spiti Valley located on the Indo-Tibetan border.  Beyond is a mountainous road which leads through The Chandra Valley, dominated by snow-capped mountains, to the tribal region of  Lahoul and  finally back to the Kullu Valley and the town of Manali. Your tour will be escorted by an experienced crew that include a local English speaking guide, an Enfield mechanic (with plenty of spare parts for the bikes), and a back-up vehicle to carry the spare parts and everyone’s baggage. The back-up vehicle can also accommodate you if you get tired on the bike and wish to travel comfortably for a while.
